EPG had less than three months to plan and execute the 2023 Spring Research Festival (SRF) Trade Show, co-sponsored by US Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) and Medical & Health Research Foundation (MHRF). SRF is vital for the military medical research, biotech, and life sciences community to learn about new research & development, solutions, and services, but had not been held since 2019. EPG sold out the trade show with nearly 80 companies and many first-time exhibitors, enhanced customer service and communications, improved lead generation for exhibitors, and enhanced the value the event delivered to all participants. Exhibitors were very / extremely satisfied with the results generated and USAMRDC said the event successfully supported their mission.

EPG supports the Federal Planning Division (FPD) of American Planning Association (APA) to plan and execute their Annual Training Workshop. Our team developed a comprehensive Operating Plan, timeline, and budget to provide event best practices, strategies, programs, and new technologies to help the all-volunteer Committee to effectively execute the event, reduce costs, and improve participant satisfaction.

EPG supports a disadvantaged small business firm serving the federal government in the financial management, accounting, and technology areas. The company needed to build brand awareness and thought leadership among federal financial leaders and  other contractors, as well as identify new contract opportunities.

EPG identified government events that aligned with their target audience, developed an exhibit plan with strategies, budget and metrics, produced a new exhibit display to effectively present the company’s brand value and capabilities, and executed marketing and exhibit services.

The government contractor was able to

  • Identify several new contract and teaming opportunities 
  • Increase their database of highly qualified leads by several thousand contacts
  • Extend awareness of their capabilities and solutions with federal financial leaders and program managers 

EPG’s CEO worked with ShinTekk, a start-up company that designed and manufactured an innovative leg exercise tool to prevent shin splints and strengthen muscles around the knee and ankle. The company was executing grassroots marketing efforts, including promoting ShinTekk at marathons and through personal contacts, but they needed to expand sales quickly. We developed a distribution strategy targeting athletic trainers, physicians, physical therapists, and fitness professionals, with events a primary channel to build brand awareness, educate professionals on the benefits of ShinTekk for their clients, establish new distribution channels, and generate product sales.

We identified the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) trade show to introduce ShinTekk to the b2b market, and designed the exhibit experience, including exhibit display and materials, pre-event marketing, and lead follow up campaigns. Our team augmented ShinTekk’s staff at the booth, conducting product demos and answering questions from attendees.

ShinTekk generated the following results:

  • Generated incredible interest from major university sport team trainers and distributors for ShinTekk
  • Traffic was busy every day with trainers waiting to try ShinTekk, creating a buzz around our booth
  • Generated direct orders for ShinTekk from several university basketball and football teams, including the more expensive model
  • Established partnerships with key distributors to reach key markets and expand sales quickly
