Event Performance Group (EPG) is an event management and consulting firm. We produce all types and sizes of events for government agencies, associations with government and trade members, nonprofit organizations, and corporations. With expert resources, proven strategies and processes, secure technologies, and extensive expertise in government, business-to-business, and consumer events across multiple industry sectors, EPG can deliver results and achieve our clients’ specific goals and objectives.
Instead of a “canned” process from many management companies, EPG tailors our approach based on our clients’ needs, event history, and the industries they serve. We conduct event reviews and market analysis quickly, and from that insight, develop recommendations and strategies to help our clients overcome challenges, leverage growth opportunities, reduce costs, and use new technologies to streamline execution. EPG can help guide and support event teams and volunteer committees to execute their events, or our team can produce specific areas or the entire event, incorporating new initiatives, programs, and technologies to improve performance.
With experience from the event organizer and exhibit sides, EPG can effectively support government contractors and companies to identify the right events, develop strategies and plans, and execute the complete exhibit or sponsorship experience. Whether your company is exhibiting at a trade show, sponsoring an event or function, or an executive speaking at a conference, EPG can help your company achieve sales and marketing goals and produce a positive ROI.
With expert marketing and administrative resources, our team can support organizations with marketing services, including event post-show lead programs, website development, branding, content development, multi-channel campaign execution, sales messaging and materials, and more. We can also support ongoing administrative needs for small associations, nonprofits, or chapters with limited resources.

President and Chief Executive Officer
Karen is the founder and CEO of Event Performance Group, guiding the overall corporate vision and growth strategy, as well as leading the planning, strategy development, and execution services for clients.
She brings three decades of experience managing all types and sizes of events for trade show organizers, associations, and corporations, and as well as leading branding, marketing, business development, and event areas for global corporations, government contractors, technology providers, and marketing agencies.
Prior to launching EPG, Karen was a founding member and managing partner of Event Advisory Group (EAG), where she was instrumental in the rapid growth of the company. She developed sound strategies that produced significant results for clients, including increasing exhibit sales and net revenue, growing attendance, and improving participant satisfaction and engagement. Karen led EAG’s consulting practice, developing their Review & Analysis product, strategic operating and vision plans, and facilitation of strategic meetings, providing clients with actionable intelligence and roadmaps to improve event performance.
Karen started her event career at Reed Exhibitions, managing technology, travel, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and entertainment trade shows and conferences. She was tapped by leadership to turn around events and lead the launch of the Americas Division for Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE). Under her leadership, goals were achieved and often exceeded in exhibit revenues and square feet, attendance, and net contributions. She successfully launched the International Golf Travel Market and established it as the leading golf travel event in the world.
She was recruited from Reed to lead the marketing, partner channel development, and trade show/association sales efforts for b-there, the first event registration and housing SaaS solution. She was instrumental in the growth and acquisition of the company. After b-there, Karen founded New Generation Event Solutions (NGES), an event management and consulting firm supporting Gartner, Covidien, JP Morgan Chase, GSK, Family Office Association, TransWorld, and other clients’ events.
Karen raised $1M in seed funding to launch her own event concept, The Women’s Congress (TWC), a global trade show, conference, and online community for women entrepreneurs and corporate executives. TWC generated nearly $2M in exhibit and conference revenues, 7,000+ attendees, and 40,000+ active online members in the first two events.
Karen has led sales and marketing for a start-up division of Citicorp, several government contractors, technology providers, and other businesses, as well as managed key accounts for two marketing agencies.
Karen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Arizona State University and holds a Certification in Exhibition Management (CEM) from International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE). She is currently on the board of the IAEE DC Chapter and an active member of IAEE and American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
When Karen is not working, she is on her next travel adventure around the globe, playing golf or tennis, or hiking with her Australian Shepard.
