Event Performance Group launches to address the unique event needs of government agencies, associations, and corporations

Bethesda, MD, December 1, 2022 – Karen Vogel, a recognized leader in the events industry, announced that she has launched Event Performance Group [KV1] (EPG), an event management and consulting firm to address the unique needs of the federal government market, as well as trade associations with government and trade members, and corporations serving the b2b and b2g markets.

“After COVID, there was a huge gap in the market for innovative event management companies serving the federal government market. Many companies closed and the firms serving the government market continue to be very traditional in their approach to event management, stated Karen Vogel, founder and CEO of EPG. “It was the right time to leave Event Advisory Group, where she launched and grew the company with several partners to become a solid player in the event sales and operations area, and launch my own firm to offer expanded services and solutions and leverage my experience in all facets of events. With 30 years of event management and corporate marketing and sales success, 15 years of federal government experience, and hands-on expertise executing new strategies and technologies across the event spectrum, as well as an experienced team of event professionals, EPG is well positioned to address the unique event needs of government agencies, associations, and corporations,” said Vogel.

She continued, “There has been a dynamic shift in expectations that attendees and exhibitors expect from events, and there are many existing and emerging technologies, including AI, chat bots and more that can be leveraged to provide enhanced experiences for all participants. Our goal is to help organizations evolve their events to improve the delivery and value of the education, connections, marketplaces, and other programs offered, and provide better insight to event organizers to continue to improve ongoing event performance.”

EPG offers consulting services, including their Insights Report, which is a culmination of a review of event results and history and a market and competitive analysis. Karen has launched several event management companies and event concepts in her career and was the first employee on the management team at b-there.com, where she was instrumental in growing revenues and the customer base for one of the first event SaaS solutions. She started her events career at Reed Exhibitions and launched the Americas Division for Reed Travel Exhibitions. She has also led the marketing and sales efforts for corporations, government contractors, technology providers, and marketing agencies.
